Tales from Dimension X is a programmatic work about a space explorer responding to a distress call. In this quasi-cinematic work inspired by a love of Sci-Fi films, the musicians provide both the soundtrack and the sound effects for an exciting addition to any concert program.

Program Notes

Tales from Dimension X was commissioned by Elizabeth Betts and written for her 6th grade band in North Harrison, MO. I was inspired by my love of Sci-Fi films to write a programmatic work about a space explorer responding to a distress call. For this quasi-cinematic work the musicians are providing both the soundtrack and the sound effects. – W.S.
