Hopscotch
Hopscotch
DeMurga, Michael
Hopscotch is a playful, although not entirely innocent, composition where the game-like mentality is pursued on a variety of levels. The first movement serves as a prelude to the dance-like flavor of the second movement. Challenging work for both performers.
Program Notes
Written for Marimolin. The composer says of the piece, “As the title suggests, Hopscotch is a playful, although not entirely innocent, composition where the game-like mentality is pursued on a variety of levels." The first movement serves as a prelude to the dance-like flavor of the second movement. Very technically demanding work for both performers. Must have excellent ensemble skills. 4-mallet technique required.
